Job summary

CCK Consolidated Holdings Berhad in Sarawak seeks a Procurement Executive to manage sourcing, procurement and supplier relationships in line with halal requirements and company standards.

You will monitor inventory, coordinate cold chain, prepare budgets, forecasts and supply plans while driving cost savings through market analysis and cross‑department collaboration. A minimum of 3 years' experience is required, with a degree in a related field preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of relevant experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain management.
• Strong product knowledge, preferably in food, frozen products or the retail industry.
• Knowledge of inventory control, cold chain management and supplier evaluation.
• Familiarity with import procedures, shipping documentation and halal requirements is an added advantage.
• Strong negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate across departments.
• Able to work independently, manage priorities and meet deadlines.
• Demonstrate integrity, accountability and openness to constructive feedback.
• Able to lead, guide and work collaboratively with a team.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for data analysis and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing and procurement of products based on specifications, quality standards, market demand and company requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels, sales trends and stock movement to minimise shortages, overstocking and wastage.
• Coordinate cold chain requirements during transportation and storage to maintain product quality and safety.
• Prepare procurement budgets, purchasing forecasts and supply plans to support business needs.
• Identify and develop local and overseas suppliers to expand product selection and maintain reliable supply.
• Evaluate supplier pricing, quality, delivery performance and compliance with company procedures and halal requirements.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and other purchasing conditions.
• Monitor market prices, seasonal trends, weather disruptions and other factors affecting local and international supply.
• Coordinate product assessments, sample evaluations and quality checks with relevant departments.
• Coordinate shipments, delivery schedules and import documentation with suppliers, logistics providers and relevant departments.
• Create and maintain product codes, specifications and purchasing records in accordance with centralised procurement standards.
• Analyse purchasing and sales data to identify cost-saving opportunities, demand changes and product performance.
• Resolve supply delays, product discrepancies and quality issues with suppliers.
• Lead and coach team members to achieve procurement objectives and complete assigned projects.

Currently we process 20,000 to 25,000 birds per day.

Our abattoir is the only poultry abattoir in Sarawak with a HACCP certification from the Malaysian Government, thus poised to supply both domestic and international consumers with good wholesome chicken meat economically. We are awarded the Certificates of Halal by the Islamic Development Department of Malaysia (Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia) and Sarawak Islamic Council (Majlis Islam Sarawak).

We have 40 wholesale and retail stores, trading departments as well as factories throughout Sarawak, Sabah and Peninsular Malaysia.
