Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing/Procurement professional to manage supplier sourcing, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services. You will prepare POs, monitor orders, and maintain strong supplier relationships to support daily operations.

This role requires 2+ years in purchasing and a degree in a related field, with proficient Excel skills and strong organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Building Survey Chain Management, Purchasing, Logistics, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years in purchasing, procurement, or a related role is an advantage.
• Strong negotiation, communication & interpersonal skills; proficient in Excel; detail-oriented and organized.

Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of goods, materials, and services required by the company.
• Source quotations and compare prices, quality, and delivery terms from suppliers.
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best pricing and purchasing terms.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and efficiently.
• Monitor delivery schedules and ensure timely receipt of purchased items.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and identify new sourcing opportunities.
• Keep accurate purchasing records and ensure proper documentation.
• Coordinate with internal departments to fulfil purchasing requirements.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
• To prepare monthly purchasing reports.

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE

1. Strong negotiation, communication & interpersonal skills.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
3. Detail-oriented, responsible, and able to work under pressure.
4. Good organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask.
5. Experience in sourcing raw materials or direct production materials is preferred.
