Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Purchasing Officer to manage daily purchasing activities, issue POs, source and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing, and ensure timely delivery of materials. You will maintain supplier records, monitor stock levels with warehouse and production, and assist in cost control while resolving supplier issues promptly.

Diploma or degree in any field, willingness to work independently, and good communication are essential; fresh grads with internship are encouraged to

• Diploma / Degree in any field, or suitable background of purchasing.
• Related experience will be advantage
• Able to work with sincerity on own initiative
• Responsible, committed and able to work independently.
• Good communication and customer relation skill
• Fresh graduates with relevant internship or practical experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily purchasing activities including issuing Purchase Orders (PO)
• Source, compare, and negotiate with suppliers for best pricing and terms
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
• Purchase raw materials based on production needs
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier database
• Monitor stock levels and coordinate with warehouse and production teams
• Assist in cost control and identify cost-saving opportunities
• Resolve supplier issues such as delays, shortages, or quality concerns
• Prepare basic purchasing reports and updates for management
• Ensure all purchasing processes comply with company procedures
