Job summary

SANG F&B SDN. BHD. in Johor Bahru is seeking a Junior Purchasing Executive to manage daily kitchen and outlet orders, ensuring all goods arrive on time and stock shortages are prevented.

You will process purchase orders, track deliveries, verify quality, match invoices, and act as a communication bridge between the kitchen, outlet managers, and suppliers.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of purchasing/procurement experience preferred (F&B or hospitality experience is a plus)
• Fluently speak Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Familiarity with local F&B suppliers or cold chain logistics is a strong plus

Responsibilities

• Process and issue purchase orders to suppliers through the system based on requests from the kitchen and outlets
• Follow up with suppliers on delivery times to ensure on-time arrival
• Plan and arrange orders ahead of holidays and festive seasons
• Ensure delivered goods meet quality standards
• Contact suppliers to resolve issues regarding rejected, damaged, or short-delivered items
• Verify suppliers' Invoices and Delivery Orders against POs before passing to Finance
• Act as a communication bridge between the kitchen, outlet managers, and suppliers

Job description

The Junior Purchasing Executive handles daily kitchen and outlet orders, with a primary focus on ensuring all goods arrive strictly on time and preventing stock shortage. You will process purchase orders, track deliveries, verify quality standards, match invoices, and act as a communication bridge between the kitchen, outlet managers, and suppliers.

Key responsibilities

Process and issue purchase orders (PO) to suppliers through the system based on requests from the kitchen and outlets

Follow up closely with suppliers on delivery times to ensure goods arrive on time

Plan and arrange orders early with the kitchen ahead of public holidays and festive seasons

Ensure delivered goods meet quality standards

Immediately contact suppliers to resolve any issues regarding rejected, damaged, or short-delivered items

Check and verify suppliers' Invoices and Delivery Orders (DO) against POs to ensure consistency before passing them to the Finance department

Act as a communication bridge between the kitchen (Central Kitchen), outlet managers, and suppliers

About you

1–2 years of purchasing/procurement experience is preferred (F&B or hospitality experience is a plus)

Fluently speak Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia

Able to work independently with good teamwork

Strong sense of responsibility and urgency

Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Familiarity with local F&B suppliers or cold chain logistics (handling chilled/frozen goods) is a strong plus
