Secret Recipe Cakes & Cafe Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya is hiring a Purchasing Assistant for a full-time role. You will develop suppliers, negotiate prices, and ensure timely delivery to support production, while maintaining purchase records and coordinating with the accounts team.

The ideal candidate has 1–2 years in purchasing, holds a relevant certificate or degree, and is fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English. Location is in Taman Mayang, Petaling Jaya.

Qualifications

• Candidate must possess a professional certificate, diploma or degree in a related field.
• Minimum 1–2 years in purchasing or related areas.
• Willing to work in Taman Mayang, Petaling Jaya, with Bahasa Malaysia and English language skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop new suppliers and test samples, negotiate pricing and terms.
• Compare supplier quotes for price, delivery and service quality.
• Ensure timely orders to support production and maintain records of purchases.
• Expedite materials and manage delivery timelines.
• Liaise with accounts on payment matters and assist in cost reporting.

Job Requirements

Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Human Resource Management, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.

Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English

At least 1-2 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.

Applicants must be willing to work in Taman Mayang,Petaling Jaya.

Preferably junior entries specializing in Purchasing or equivalent.

Full-Time position.

Job Descriptions

Develop new suppliers, request sample for production to test, negotiate pricing & terms etc.

Compare supplies example: pricing, delivery on time & good service.

To ensure the order come in on time in order production to run smoothly.

To ensure all records of goods ordered and received.

To cancel the Purchase Requisition if the stock in warehouse is still high.

Expediting materials from suppliers and ensure on-time delivery.

To hold the delivery if the quality are not accepted.

To make claims against supplier if the goods supply from them are rejected by our customer.

Assist the Buyer in project costing reports.

Liaise with Account Department on payment matters.

Assist in ad-hoc assignment as required by management.

To perform any other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Ensure the confidentiality of all Company matters.
