Job summary

AST Machinery (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a Purchasing Executive to join our team in Kota Kemuning, Selangor. This full-time role focuses on sourcing materials, processing purchase orders, and coordinating with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma or SPM and experience in procurement, with fluency in Mandarin, English, and Bahasa Malaysia. Familiarity with AutoCount and MS Office is advantageous, and fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Purchasing Executive to join our dynamic team at AST Machinery (M) Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position based in Kota Kemuning, Selangor.

Scope Of Works

• • Assist in sourcing and purchasing materials.
• • Maintain and update supplier and vendor records.
• • Coordinate with suppliers for pricing, delivery schedules, and product availability.
• • Monitor inventory levels for spare parts, and accessories.
• • Ensure stock levels meet operational needs and avoid shortages or overstocking.
• • Prepare and process purchase orders for materials, and services.
• • Track and confirm the receipt of orders to ensure timely delivery.
• • Liaise with suppliers and internal teams about order status or discrepancies.
• • Build and maintain positive relationships with suppliers and service providers.
• • Negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules to secure the best value.
• • Help evaluate and select new suppliers based on cost, quality, and performance.
• • Monitor and control purchasing costs.
• • Maintain and file purchasing records, such as invoices and orders.
• • Assist in preparing reports, inventory lists, and documentation.
• • Coordinate with internal departments for smooth purchasing activities.
• • Ensure all items meet required quality standards and company specifications.
• • Manage returns for defective or non-compliant items.
• • Perform any others duties assigned by superior.

What we're looking for

• Minimum of SPM qualification/Diploma or equivalent in related field.
• Experience in knowledge of AutoCount System is an added advantage.
• At least 1 year of working experience in purchasing, procurement.
• Fresh graduate is welcome to apply.
• Immediate availability will be an added advantage.
• Able to communicate in Mandarin, English and Bahasa Malaysia. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and MS Office application will be preferred.
• Self-starter, fast learner, able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Prior working experience in the construction industry is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
