Job summary

PMW Lighting is seeking a dynamic Business Development Lead to support market expansion in East Malaysia. You will promote outdoor LED and solar street lighting solutions to local councils, JKR, and government agencies, while targeting tenders with contractors.

The role requires building strong stakeholder relationships, understanding public procurement, and driving sales performance. Travel will be extensive; a local base is preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2+ years in business development, sales, or key account management in the lighting industry.
• Experience dealing with government agencies or the public sector.
• Familiarity with government procurement processes, tenders, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
• Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willingness to travel extensively; base locally in home territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to promote PMW Lighting's outdoor LED and solar street lighting solutions in the East Malaysia region.
• Build and maintain relationships with local councils, JKR, contractors, and key stakeholders.
• Identify and qualify new business opportunities with government agencies and private sectors.
• Drive sales performance to achieve and exceed targets.
• Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals tailored to customer needs.
• Monitor, evaluate, and participate in tenders and bidding processes.
• Ensure all tender submissions meet compliance requirements and deadlines.
• Maintain an in-depth understanding of PMW Lighting’s products, services, and value proposition.
• Provide technical and product insights to clients and stakeholders.
