Job summary

POWER HZ ENGINEERING SDN BHD in Malaysia is seeking a Project Testing Engineer to lead electrical testing and commissioning activities across power and protection systems. You will interpret SLDs, specifications, and testing procedures while collaborating with clients and project teams.

Based in Negeri Sembilan and other project sites nationwide, you will travel to sites, perform Grid Code Testing, power quality measurements, and prepare test plans and reports.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of electrical power systems, protection systems, switchgear, transformers, and power quality.
• Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, and testing procedures.
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct electrical testing and commissioning activities.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct electrical testing and commissioning activities
• Perform Grid Code Testing, Protection Relay Testing, and Power Quality Measurement
• Interpret single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, technical specifications, and testing procedures
• Prepare testing reports, method statements, test plans, and project documentation
• Work at project sites throughout Malaysia, including Sabah and Sarawak
• Collaborate with clients, contractors, consultants, and project teams

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, or a related field
• Basic knowledge of electrical power systems, protection systems, switchgear, transformers, and power quality
• Able to interpret single-line diagrams, schematic drawings, technical specifications, and testing procedures
• Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Able to communicate effectively in Bahasa Malaysia and English
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
• Valid driving licence and own transportation
• Willing to travel and work at project sites throughout Malaysia
• Willing to work outside normal working hours when required by project schedule
