Job summary

IPE Technologies Sdn Bhd invites an Electrical Testing Engineer to join our Johor-based engineering team. You will plan and execute tests on electrical systems, troubleshoot faults, and document results to ensure safety, quality, and performance across data center fit-outs.

You will read schematics, perform insulation resistance and high-potential tests, verify compliance with IEC/IEEE and local codes, and contribute to handover reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with testing tools and electrical systems (low/high voltage, power generators, control panels).
• Familiarity with testing protocols, safety standards, and quality frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional, insulation resistance, high-potential, load bank, and continuity tests on electrical gear.
• Verify installations comply with IEC, IEEE, and local codes.
• Identify wiring errors, component failures, or system inefficiencies and recommend fixes.
• Read electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and wiring layouts.
• Record test data and write technical inspection or handover reports.

The Company is a Johor-based engineering firm specializing in data center fit-out solutions — including IT racks, cold/hot aisle containment, precision air conditioning, electrical motor control panels, electrical switchboard and security fencing/skid fabrication. It's holding company ("the Group") operates across Malaysia, Singapore, China, and Vietnam.

About the role

An Electrical Testing Engineer plans and executes tests on electrical systems, components, or equipment to verify safety, quality, and performance. They troubleshoot faults, ensure compliance with industrial codes and standards, and document results for manufacturing, power, or construction projects.

Key responsibilities

Conduct functional, insulation resistance, high-potential, load bank, and continuity tests on electrical gear

Verify that installations and products match safety regulations and standards (such as IEC, IEEE, or local codes)

About you
