Job summary

Panah Jaya Services Sdn Bhd in Kelana Jaya, Selangor, is seeking a Project Sales and Service Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis. You will blend technical know-how with commercial sense to identify client needs and deliver tailored solutions.

This role sits at the crossroads of sales, project management and mechanical engineering services, requiring travel and close coordination with clients, principals and EPC contractors.

Qualifications

• Engineering diploma or degree required in mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in technical sales, BD or project engineering.
• Experience in oil & gas or offshore/marine preferred.
• Proficient in English; Chinese language skills preferred.
• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the assigned market/territory.
• Build and manage relationships with clients, principals, EPC contractors, and end-users.
• Achieve sales targets through client engagement, technical presentations, and account management.
• Understand client technical requirements and recommend suitable product/system solutions.
• Provide after-sales technical support including site visits, installation, and troubleshooting.
• Liaise with principals/OEMs on technical specifications, updates, and training.
• Prepare quotations, sales orders, and tender/bid documentation.
• Monitor sales performance and prepare regular reports to management.
• Stay updated on relevant technical standards (e.g., API, ASME, ANSI, NACE) as required.

About the role

Panah Jaya Services Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Sales and Service Engineer to join our engineering team on a full-time basis based in Kelana Jaya, Selangor. This role combines technical expertise with commercial acumen, positioning you at the intersection of sales, project management, and mechanical engineering services. You will be responsible for identifying client needs, developing tailored technical solutions, and ensuring successful project delivery. What we're looking for

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related discipline).
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience in technical sales, business development, or project engineering
• Prior experience in oil & gas or offshore/marine industry preferred, with exposure to equipment such as pumps, instrumentation or pipeline repair systems.
• Proficient in English (spoken and written) for daily business communication; strong proficiency in Chinese (Mandarin), spoken and written is preferred, as the Company plans to expand its business relationship with China-based principals. Candidates of all backgrounds with this language capability are encouraged to apply.
• Familiarity with tender/bidding processes and Malaysian local content requirements is an advantage.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with ERP/CRM systems an advantage.
• Valid driving license and willingness to travel both domestic and overseas for client visits, site work, and project support.
