Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad in Penang/Kulim is seeking a capable Construction Planning professional to develop and maintain the master construction programme. You will monitor progress, identify delays and coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to resolve scheduling issues.

You will prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, track milestones and assess impacts from design changes. The role involves supporting resource planning and risk recovery planning on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 is a must.
• Site Engineer transitioning into planning role with basic Primavera P6 knowledge encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis and progress monitoring.
• Willing to be based at Penang/ Kulim, Kedah

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update and maintain the master construction programme.
• Monitor project progress, identify delays and recommend corrective actions.
• Coordinate with project teams and subcontractors to collect progress updates and resolve scheduling issues.
• Prepare and update weekly and monthly progress reports and schedule forecasts.
• Track construction activities, work sequences, milestones and critical paths.
• Assess schedule impacts arising from design changes, variations and site issues.
• Participate in project meetings and coordinate planning activities with relevant teams.
• Support resource planning, risk assessment and recovery programme preparation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 is a must.
• Site Engineer interested in transitioning into a planning role with basic Primavera P6 knowledge are also encouraged to apply.
• Good understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis and progress monitoring.
