Job summary

IJM Corporation Berhad in Kulim invites an experienced planning professional to develop, maintain, and update project baseline schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with milestones and contractual requirements.

You will monitor progress, coordinate with project teams and stakeholders, prepare weekly and monthly reports, analyze time impacts, and provide planning insights to support timely decisions on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• 2–5 years of planning experience in fast-track construction projects.
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and scheduling updates.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, and progress measurement.

Job description

Develop, maintain, and update project baseline schedules using Primavera P6, ensuring alignment with project milestones and contractual requirements.

Monitor project progress, identify potential delays, and recommend corrective actions to keep the project on schedule.

Coordinate with planning manager, site teams, client, consultants and subcontractors to collect, verify and consolidate progress data.

Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and schedule forecasts.

Analyze the time impact of changes, variations and delays, providing planning input to support Extension of Time (EOT) claims where required.

Participate in project meetings, present schedule updates and provide planning insights to support decision-making.

Support project risk analysis, resource planning and productivity monitoring to improve project performance.

Ensure compliance with company planning procedures, project requirements and client reporting standards.

REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

2–5 years of planning experience in fast-track construction projects, preferably within a main contractor environment.

Proficient in Primavera P6, with hands‑on experience in project scheduling and progress updates.

Strong understanding of construction sequencing, critical path analysis, schedule forecasting, and progress measurement.

Good analytical, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively with project teams and subcontractors.

Able to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet tight deadlines.

Willing to be based full‑time at the project site in Kulim, Kedah.
