Job summary

Kelington Group Berhad is seeking an experienced Project Planner to work closely with project managers and system analysts to develop, analyze, and manage project plans, schedules and resource forecasts across construction projects.

The role involves integrating detailed schedules into the master plan, identifying critical paths, allocating resources, and providing delay analyses. Travel and outstation work at sites are required to ensure timely delivery within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in engineering, project management certification or any technical degree.
• At least 5 years of project planning experience in construction.
• Familiar with Primavera P6, MS Project and MS Office.
• Strong analytical, organizing and writing skills in scheduling and reporting.
• Good communication skills among peers and client.
• Willing to travel and relocate, and able to work at construction project sites.

Responsibilities

• Develop, analyze and manage project plans, schedules and resource forecasts with project managers and system analysts.
• Create schedules with controllers and analysts; update plans and propose mitigations for delays.
• Integrate level 4 details into master project schedule and monitor baseline progress.
• Identify milestones, critical paths, resource allocations and schedule variances; support cost/schedule integration.
• Generate weekly and monthly project reports; chair schedule meetings with clients and subcontractors.
• Monitor progress; assist PM in coordinating with teams to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
• Identify multiple critical paths and develop mitigation plans; micro-manage schedules as needed.
• Develop work breakdown structures including Critical Path, resources, and budget plans.
• Prepare EOT schedules and delay analysis reports for progress gaps.
• Attend and present in meetings with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for coordination.

Job description

• Work closely with project managers & system analysts by developing, analyzing & managing project plans, schedules & resource forecasts;
• Controllers and Analysts to create schedules and keep the plan updated and propose mitigation if delay or issue;
• Integrate and generate level 4 detail schedule into master project schedule and perform measurement baseline program;
• Identifying milestone, critical path analysis, resource allocations, schedule variances, and to support cost/schedule integration;
• Gather and analyze information to generate weekly & monthly report of the project, chair the schedule meeting with client and subcon;
• Monitor the work plan progress and responsible to assist project manager in coordinate with others to ensure project completion within the time frame and cost;
• Identify multiple critical paths and work out mitigation plan/micro-manage schedule;
• Develop work breakdown structures such as Critical Path schedule and resource, cost and budget plans;
• Prepare EOT schedule and provide delay analysis report shall the actual progress have gap from baseline;
• Required to attend and present in meeting with client, consultant & subcontractors for coordination work & progress update.

Qualification/Job Requirement

• Possess at least Bachelor’s Degree, diploma in engineering discipline, project management certification or any degree in technical field;
• At least 5 years of project planning experience in construction;
• Familiar with Primavera P6, MS Project and MS office;
• Strong in analytical, organizing and writing skill in scheduling and report;
• Good communication skill among peers and client;
• Able to work independently, flexibility and adaptability;
• Willing to travel and relocate;
