Job summary

INGENIOUS WORKS INTERNATIONAL (M) SDN BHD is seeking a Project Planner (Electrical Engineering) in Selangor to lead scheduling across the full project lifecycle, coordinating with project managers, engineers, site teams and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery. The role requires 3+ years in project planning, strong MS Project skills, and experience in EPCC or engineering/construction projects.

You will prepare baselines, look-aheads, progress reports and risk analyses to support project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Project Management or Construction Management.
• Minimum 3 years' experience in project planning and scheduling.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Project for schedule development, progress tracking, reporting, and project controls.
• Experience in EPCC or engineering/construction projects is preferred.
• PMP/PMO or related professional certification is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update project schedules covering engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and handover activities.
• Prepare baseline schedules, WBS, milestones, resource-loaded schedules and look-ahead schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Monitor project progress against approved schedules, identify delays and critical path impacts, and recommend recovery actions.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and site teams to ensure activities are properly integrated and aligned.
• Prepare weekly/monthly progress reports, S-curves, dashboards, schedule forecasts and other planning reports for management and stakeholders.
• Identify schedule risks, resource constraints and potential delays, and support mitigation, recovery and acceleration planning.
• Support evaluation of schedule impacts arising from variations, changes, claims and additional works, including EOT and delay analysis where required.
• Participate in project planning, progress review and risk meetings with project teams, clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Provide planning support for tenders, proposals and project execution planning.
• Maintain accurate planning records and support project controls, reporting and project close-out activities.

Job description

We are looking for a Project Planner (Electrical Engineering) to join our team in Selangor. You will be responsible for project planning, scheduling and progress monitoring across the full project lifecycle, working closely with project managers, engineers, site teams, subcontractors and other stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on schedule.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management or a related discipline.

Minimum 3 years' experience in project planning and scheduling, preferably in EPCC or engineering/construction projects.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Project for schedule development, progress tracking, reporting, and project controls.

Experience in engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning and/or project handover activities.

Strong analytical, communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.

Able to work independently and effectively with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced project environment.

Knowledge of project controls, risk management, EOT/delay analysis and ISO management systems will be an advantage.

PMP / PMO or other relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
