Job summary

Grand Built Construction Company in Shah Alam, Selangor seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead construction projects from planning through delivery on site.

You will coordinate contractors and staff, manage budgets, ensure quality, safety and timely reporting, and maintain documentation in line with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Qualifications

• Requires a degree in construction management, civil engineering or equivalent.
• 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Familiar with ACAD, BIM, MS Project and Primavera P6.
• Able to work independently under pressure, handle multiple demands and meet deadlines.
• Willing to station on project site as required.

Responsibilities

• Planning and scheduling construction projects, establishing timelines, budgets and allocations.
• Managing project teams to ensure coordination across all phases.
• Monitoring progress against milestones and KPIs, identifying risks and mitigating.
• Maintaining project budgets, controlling expenditures and minimising waste.
• Liaising with clients, consultants and stakeholders for updates and issue resolution.
• Ensuring quality control and compliance with contracts.
• Preparing and maintaining project documentation and records.
• Identifying and managing risks with mitigation plans.
• Coordinate and monitor works per contract specs and standards.
• Supervise works to ensure they align with drawings, specs and plans.
• Overseeing purchasing activities and cost control.
• Documenting progress and productivity for reporting.
• Training and motivating staff toward company objectives.
• Ensuring outcomes meet client expectations and ISO 9001:2015 requirements.
• Conducting meetings with clients, architects and other stakeholders.

• Managing project teams, including contractors, subcontractors and site staff, to ensure effective coordination and communication across all project phases.

• Ensuring quality control measures are in place and that all work meets specified standards and contractual requirements.
• Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including reports, correspondence and records.
• Identifying and managing project risks, implementing mitigation strategies and contingency plans as required.
• Coordinate and monitor construction works as per contract specifications and standards to ensure procedures are followed and materials used conform to specification and standards.
• Supervise construction works and to ensure that all works carried out are in accordance to the drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures, work instruction and etc ..
• Good time management and discipline.
• Monitoring project performance, progress claim, schedule, and team productivity, and report progress to client.
• Oversee purchasing activities for the entire project(s).
• Monitor and control material costs, cost savings, and budgets.
• Execute the staffing process for the project team.
• Evaluate the performance of project team members.
• Consistently train and motivate staff at all levels to work as a team toward achieving the Company’s vision and objectives.
• Ensure the project’s outcomes and quality are in accordance with the client’s expectations.
• Conduct and coordinate meetings with clients, architects, consultants, and other stakeholders.
• Handle any other relevant tasks as assigned.
• Implement and maintain a Quality Management System that conforms to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.
• Update and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
• Knowledge of 5S is an advantage.

Job Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent.
• At least 8 – 10 years of relevant working experience.
• Familiar with ACAD, BIM, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6 is advantage.
• Able to work independently under pressure, handle multiple demands and meet deadlines.
