POD Resources SB in Malaysia is seeking an experienced and hands-on Project Manager to take ownership of construction projects from design handover through site commencement, construction, completion and final handover.

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Project Manager who can take ownership of projects from design handover and site commencement through construction, completion and final handover.
This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in overseeing the successful execution of construction projects from conception through to completion. As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, resources, and quality standards whilst ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety requirements. You will work closely with clients, contractors, architects, engineers, and internal stakeholders to deliver projects that exceed expectations. This role offers the strategic importance of ensuring project success and maintaining POD Resources SB's reputation for excellence in the construction industry.
Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of construction projects from initiation through completion
Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within financial parameters
Monitor project progress and performance metrics, identifying risks and implementing corrective actions as necessary
Manage contracts with suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors, ensuring compliance with terms and conditions
Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets specifications and industry standards
Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, reports, change orders, and correspondence
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and addressing concerns promptly
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites
Manage project teams and coordinate with various departments to facilitate smooth project execution
Report on project performance to senior management and clients using relevant metrics and data analysis
Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction project management
Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects on time and within budget
Strong knowledge of construction processes, methodologies, and best practices
Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or similar platforms
Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
Strong leadership and team management capabilities
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders
In-depth understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance in the construction industry
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
Knowledge of local building codes and regulations in Malaysia is highly advantageous
Professional certification such as CIDB (Construction Industry Development Board) registration is preferred
