Job summary

AEON Malaysia is seeking an IT Project Manager to lead end-to-end rollout of store technology across new and existing locations. The role involves coordinating rollout schedules, site readiness, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery and successful production cutovers.

You will manage vendors, conduct UAT and pilot deployments, and drive post-implementation support with strict adherence to SLAs. A strong background in retail tech and stakeholder coordination is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience as IT project manager / coordinator or similar role.
• Experience deploying and supporting store systems such as POS, SCO, Payment Systems, HHT, ESL, Weighing Scales, Price Checkers and Smart Trolleys.
• Strong project management covering planning, budgeting, procurement, implementation, rollout, vendor management, testing, training and operational handover.
• Experience managing large-scale store rollout projects involving multiple sites and vendors.
• Good understanding of retail business operations, store infrastructure, payment systems, and customer facing technologies will be added advantage

Responsibilities

• Lead end to end implementation and rollout of store technology projects across new and existing stores.
• Develop and manage rollout schedules, deployment plans, site readiness assessments and implementation milestones.
• Coordinate system change request activities, including hardware, delivery tracking, inventory management and deployment readiness.
• Manage vendors, contractors and internal teams to ensure timely delivery, installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of solutions.
• Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT), pilot deployments and production cutover activities.
• Coordinate training programs and knowledge transfer sessions for store operations, support teams and end users.
• Ensure complete project documentation, including design documents, deployment records, test results, asset records and operational handover documents.
• Manage post implementation support, hand over to service desk, hypercare activities, issue resolution and vendor escalation to ensure service stability and SLA compliance.
• Monitor system performance, incident trends and service levels for deployed store solutions, driving continuous improvement initiatives where required.
• Work closely with Infrastructure, Network, Security, Application, and Business teams to ensure successful integration and operational readiness.

Requirements

Proven experience in deploying and supporting store systems such as POS, Self-Checkout (SCO), Payment Systems, HHT, ESL, Weighing Scales, Price Checkers and Smart Trolleys.

Strong project management experience covering planning, budgeting, procurement, implementation, rollout, vendor management, testing, training and operational handover.

Experience managing large-scale store rollout projects involving multiple sites and vendors.

Good understanding of retail business operations, store infrastructure, payment systems, and customer facing technologies will be added advantage
