ENCHEM SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Project Manager cum site agent for full-time work on Pangkor Island, Perak.

You will oversee planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from inception to handover, combining strategic project management with hands-on site supervision to deliver on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or related field and 5–7 years of construction project management

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all construction project aspects including scheduling and budgeting.
• Supervise daily site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and contractual compliance.
• Monitor progress, report KPIs to management, and manage contractor performance.
• Prepare project documentation and control project costs with cost-saving measures.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to manage expectations on island projects.
• Lead and mentor site teams to foster a collaborative work environment.

About the role

ENCHEM SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced Project Manager cum site agent to join our team on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal position based in Pangkor Island, Perak, where you will oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects from inception to handover. The role combines strategic project management responsibilities with hands‑on site supervision, making it essential for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be the key liaison between senior management, site teams, contractors, and clients, playing a crucial role in the successful delivery of our construction initiatives. The project is on going Supply and Lay GRP pipe DN500 & DN 300 at Pulau Pangkor.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation
• Supervise daily site operations and ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual obligations
• Monitor project progress and report on key performance indicators to senior management and stakeholders
• Manage contractor performance, liaising with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to maintain construction standards and identify potential issues
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, variation orders, and contractual records
• Control project costs and manage budgets, identifying and implementing cost‑saving measures where appropriate
• Communicate effectively with clients, addressing concerns and ensuring expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle
• Implement and enforce health, safety, and environmental (HSE) protocols on site
• Lead and mentor site teams, fostering a collaborative and productive working environment

What we’re looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Minimum 5-7 years of experience in construction project management and site supervision
• Proven track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget
• Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and industry best practices
• Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, or equivalent platforms
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and coordinate diverse teams
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, with capability to liaise with multiple stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Valid driver's license and willingness to spend significant time on site
• Knowledge of relevant Malaysian building regulations and safety standards is highly desirable
• Experience in managing projects in the Perak region or on island locations is advantageous
