Job summary

ACE Mechanical is seeking a Project Executive in Perai, Penang to lead project timelines, budgets, and quality across mechanical engineering and construction projects. This role blends on-site leadership with office planning to ensure projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of PM experience in construction or mechanical engineering and proficiency with MS Project/Primavera, plus English and Mandarin communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
• 3–5 years of project management experience in construction or mechanical engineering
• Proven track record of delivering projects from conception to completion
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, scheduling tools (MS Project/Primavera), and budgets
• Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) for Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and cross-functional teams
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software
• Familiarity with HSE requirements in construction
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail
• PMP certification or equivalent is advantageous

ACE Mechanical is seeking a Project Executive to join our dynamic team in Perai, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the successful delivery of our mechanical engineering and construction projects. As a Project Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing project timelines, budgets, and quality standards whilst coordinating between various stakeholders and teams. This role is integral to ensuring that projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of excellence. You will work on-site and in the office, providing hands-on management and leadership throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and control project schedules, ensuring milestones are met and delays are minimised

Manage project budgets and track expenditures to ensure cost-effectiveness and financial compliance

Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution

Conduct site inspections and quality checks to maintain standards in accordance with project specifications

Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including reports, minutes, and compliance records

Liaise between project teams, clients, and senior management to communicate progress and address concerns

Identify and manage project risks, implementing mitigation strategies as needed

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations on all project sites

Support the resolution of technical issues and coordinate problem-solving efforts amongst team members

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline

Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in project management within the construction or mechanical engineering sector

Proven track record of successfully managing projects from conception to completion

Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, project scheduling software (such as Microsoft Project or Primavera), and budget management tools

Fluent in English and Mandarin (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders and cross-functional teams.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and project management software

Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) requirements within the construction industry

Strong organisational and time-management abilities with meticulous attention to detail

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure

Professional certification such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent is advantageous
