Job summary

IBRACO BERHAD, Kuching, Malaysia, seeks an experienced project leader to plan, execute and monitor construction projects in line with company policies to ensure quality, timely delivery and safety.

The role requires supervising field teams, coordinating with consultants and contractors, and guiding project staff to meet specifications and objectives while managing risks and changes throughout the lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor projects to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Lead the team and ensure works comply with specifications.
• Supervise day-to-day activities on project sites.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors and relevant personnel for smooth execution.
• Coordinate consultant meetings and monthly site meetings.
• Verify contractor work programmes and acceptances against company objectives.
• Mentor and train junior staff; manage risks, issues and changes.

Job description

To plan, execute and monitor projects to ensure smooth implementation of project according to company policies and procedures to ensure quality, timely delivery and upkeep of safety standard.

To lead the team and ensure all of the works are carried out and comply with the required specifications.

To supervise and monitor day-to-day activities on project sites.

To liaise with project consultants, contractors and any other relevant personnel on all technical and/or site matters to ensure smooth project execution.

To coordinate consultant meeting and contractor monthly site meeting.

To verify work programme submitted by contractor and to recommend for acceptance of contractor's implementation proposal against company objectives.

Responsible to provide necessary mentoring and job related training to any junior staff under your supervision.

Manage risks, issues, and changes throughout the project lifecycle.

To perform any other duties that may be assigned by your immediate superior / management from time to time.

Job Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering/Construction Management/ Architecture or equivalent.

Minimum 5 years of working experience in the construction or related field/industry.

Project Management skills with experience in the construction/property development industry.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skill to manage diverse stakeholders.

Able to think quickly, decisively and deal courteously with site problem and tactfully with other members of the project team.

Leadership skill to guide and motivate project teams.
