Job summary

IBRACO BERHAD in Kuching is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to manage all aspects of QS works on site. You will monitor contractor and supplier claims, prepare cost estimates and ensure timely progress payments.

The role requires strong analytical, negotiation and organizational skills with a Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years’ experience. You will coordinate with consultants, engineers, contractors and clients and maintain ISO documentation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Survey or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ relevant working experience.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and organization skills.
• Good knowledge in pricing.
• Self-starter and able to perform under minimum supervision.

Responsibilities

• To monitor in site assessment on contractors / suppliers’ claims.
• Attend meeting with contractors / subcontractors / consultant / local authority when required.
• Taking off quantity, calculation of project costing, computation of BQ & cost estimation.
• To attend to site correspondences and site administration promptly.
• To plan, organize, monitor and lead the team members on all aspects of QS works.
• To handle progress claims, progress payment, variation order & final account for sub-contractor & supplier.
• To handle all inquiries of quotation from sub-contractor and supplier.
• To coordinate with consultants / engineers / contractors / suppliers and be responsible for the clarification of all contractual and technical matters.
• To coordinate and handle changes that could disrupt progress during projects.
• To carry out cost planning, analysis & monitoring for project resource, costing and project budget.
• Able to communicate and coordinate effectively with Client, Consultants, Construction Team and Sub-contractors.
• Maintaining ISO related document when & where required.
