Position Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Project Manager who is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing the successful execution of precast wall installation projects from commencement to completion.
The role ensures project activities are completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and in accordance with quality requirements. The Project Manager serves as the key liaison between internal teams, clients, consultants, contractors, and installation teams to ensure smooth project delivery and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Schedule Control
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor project execution from commencement to completion.
- Track daily installation progress against approved project schedules and targets.
- Ensure projects are completed within stipulated timelines and project requirements.
- Identify potential delays, risks, and bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct regular site visits to assess project progress and work performance.
- Update and maintain project schedules and work plans.
2. Resource Allocation & Site Coordination
- Plan and manage project manpower, equipment, materials, and subcontractor resources.
- Ensure installation teams are adequately supported with the necessary resources and tools.
- Coordinate material delivery schedules with production and logistics teams.
- Monitor workforce productivity and optimise resource utilisation.
- Ensure smooth coordination between factory operations and site installation activities.
3. Stakeholder Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, consultants, contractors, marketing teams, technical support teams, and installation teams.
- Coordinate project meetings and site discussions with relevant stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, challenges, and solutions in a timely manner.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and project stakeholders.
- Resolve project-related issues through effective collaboration and communication.
4. Change Management
- Review and evaluate design changes, variation orders, and scope modifications.
- Assess the impact of project changes on schedule, resources, and installation activities.
- Coordinate with technical and engineering teams to implement approved changes.
- Adjust project schedules and resource plans to accommodate project requirements.
- Ensure all project changes are properly documented and communicated.
5. Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and submit weekly and monthly project progress reports.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, correspondence, and site reports.
- Document project issues, delays, corrective actions, and resolutions.
- Prepare meeting minutes and follow-up action plans.
- Ensure project documentation is updated and maintained in accordance with company requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve project execution efficiency and productivity.
- Recommend best practices in precast wall installation and IBS project management.
- Support the company's initiatives in innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable construction practices.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or related discipline.
- Minimum 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in the IBS, building materials, precast, construction, or related industries.
- Experience managing site installation activities and coordinating multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
- Possess own transport and willing to travel regularly within the assigned region
