Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction or manufacturing, with at least 5 in IBS or modular construction.
• Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (added advantage).
• Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Strong technical innovation and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction for IBS technologies across projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including design, engineering, manufacturing, and site installation teams.
• Drive innovation in building systems, including automation and digital construction methods.
• Serve as the main technical liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and in-house teams.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, local building codes, and international IBS best practices.
• Provide technical guidance and support to other staff during client presentations, tender processes, and site execution.
• Conduct technical audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role will be hired under OSK Group member company named Acotec Sdn Bhd.

Acotecis an Integrated Building System manufacturer which hold the exclusive rights to manufacture Acotec Wall Panel, a hollow core precast wall in Malaysia.

We are currently seeking a motivated and well-organized "Head of Technical" with a strong ability to prospect and build lasting customer relationships to join our team.

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES:

Responsible to lead and manage all technical aspects of Industrialised Building System (IBS) projects, ensuring efficient design, manufacturing, and installation processes.

This includes playing a strategic role in optimizing prefabrication, modular construction technologies, and standardization to improve quality, reduce costs, and ensure timely delivery of construction projects.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN:

Provide strategic direction for the implementation and advancement of IBS technologies across projects

Lead multidisciplinary teams including design, engineering, manufacturing, and site installation teams

Drive innovation in building systems, including automation and digital construction methods

Serve as the main technical liaison between clients, consultants, contractors, and in-house teams

Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, local building codes, and international IBS best practices

Provide technical guidance and support to other technical staff during client presentations, tender processes, and site execution

Conduct technical audits, risk assessments, and continuous improvement initiatives

Perform other task as assigned by Management from time to time

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE:

Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architecture, or related field

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in construction or manufacturing, with at least 5 in IBS or modular construction

Proficiency in English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin (added advantage)

Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
