Job summary

Pendinginan Megajana Sdn Bhd in Cyberjaya is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee all on-site construction activities, ensuring project quality, progress and safety compliance with the project team and regulations.

You will coordinate with contractors, review documents, monitor progress against schedules, and generate daily site reports. The role demands 2–5 years in mechanical/electrical engineering projects or construction, good communication, and local Malaysian familiarity.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical or related field and/ or professional qualification in engineering.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or other professional body are preferred

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, review and verify contractor and consultant document issuance (timeline, method of statement, drawings, material submission, Operation & Manual documents).
• Supervise, monitor and review contractors' claim, project progress, daily site operation in terms of quality, scope, time against contract or relevant standards.
• Provide daily site operational report, organize work schedule, perform regular inspections and assist in planning activities.
• Conduct and verify project inspection, testing and commissioning and handover procedures with all related parties.
• Engage in initial project development with internal departments, consultants, contractors, suppliers and authorities by reviewing contracts and scopes of works.
• Manage daily site operations and provide reports, including assigning tasks to workers and ensuring safety compliance.
• Ensure quality control by inspecting work and addressing discrepancies.
• Coordinate with contractors on documentation, material submission, delivery, inspections, commissioning and final handover.
• Involve with other works related to project management department.

Role Description

Responsible for overseeing all on-site construction activities, ensuring project quality, progress, and safety compliance by directly managing workers, coordinating with the project team, and monitoring adherence to building regulations and safety standards on a construction site.

• To coordinate, review and verify contractor and consultant document issuance (project timeline, method of statement, drawings, material submission, Operation & Manual documents, etc).
• To supervise, monitor and review contractors claim, project progress, daily site operation in term of quality, scope, time according to the contract or any relevant standards.
• To provide daily site operational report, organizing work schedule, perform regular inspections, assist in planning work activities, etc.
• To conduct and verify project inspection, testing and commissioning and handover procedures with all parties related.
• To engage in the initial project development with internal departments, consultants, contractors, suppliers and authorities by reviewing contract documents, scope of works, project master implementation program, methods, etc.
• To manage daily site operations and provide reports, including assigning tasks to workers, monitoring their progress against project schedules, ensure compliances with safety and health practice, report to superior regularly and perform regular inspections.
• To ensure quality control by inspecting work done and addressing any discrepancies.
• To coordinate and supervise with contractors on all project matters inclusive of related documentation, material submission and delivery, inspection on completed works, final testing and commissioning, handing over exercise, tracking remaining defects and closing all documents/issues until the final project completion.
• To involve with other necessary works related to project management department.

Qualifications

• Engineering Diploma or Degree in Mechanical/Electrical or related field and/ or professional qualification in engineering.
• Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or other professional body are preferred

Skills

• Experience between 2 to 5 years in mechanical/electrical engineering projects or construction industry and utilities projects i.e., water, power, telco, civil, etc.;
• Knowledge about engineering, project management and contracts components with recognised institution;
• Proven experience as a site supervisor on construction and utilities projects i.e., water, power, telco, civil, etc.;
• Good verbal, presentation and written communication skills;
• Active personality, quality & result-driven and self-initiative;
• Good influencing skills and organizational ability;
• Good coordination and negotiation skills;
• Knowledge in technical report writing and presentation
