Job summary

Cape EMS Berhad, based in Senai, Johor, seeks a Program Executive to lead customer programmes from initiation to mass production. You will manage schedules, deliverables and customer communications, interfacing across Production, Engineering and Finance to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

You will coordinate NPI/ECO/ECN actions, build strong client relationships and monitor programme performance in a fast-paced, international EMS environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
• At least 3 years of experience in programme management.
• Experience in Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry or related electronics/manufacturing environment.
• Demonstrated ability to lead programmes and act as a key interface between a company and its customers.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, shipment coordination, NPI and ECO/ECN processes.
• Strong financial awareness and ability to monitor revenue, costs and budgets.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; ERP/MRP system experience is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage assigned customer programmes from initiation through mass production and ongoing delivery.
• Serve as the primary interface between the Company and customers for requirements, schedules, changes and escalations.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and address inquiries promptly and professionally.
• Plan, coordinate and lead internal and customer programme meetings; document decisions and assign action owners.
• Collaborate with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, NPI, Finance and Logistics to achieve objectives.
• Monitor overall status of programmes including timelines, resources, readiness, quality and delivery, and follow up actions.
• Track financial status including revenue, costs, budget performance and variances in coordination with Finance.
• Monitor demand, POs, forecasts, revenue, production plans and shipments; maintain programme records.
• Coordinate ECO/ECN implementations and customer communications.

Job description

The Program Executive is responsible for leading assigned customer programmes and serving as the primary interface between the Company and its customers. The role coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements, programme milestones, operational commitments, financial performance and issues are effectively managed, with a strong focus on delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

Lead and manage assigned customer programmes from programme initiation and New Product Introduction (NPI) through mass production and ongoing delivery.

Serve as the primary interface between the Company and customers for programme requirements, schedules, deliverables, performance updates, changes and escalations.

Build and maintain strong customer relationships, ensuring satisfaction expectations are met and enquiries or concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.

Plan, coordinate and lead internal and customer programme meetings; document decisions, assign action owners and follow through to timely closure.

Collaborate efficiently and effectively with Production, Planning, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Procurement, NPI, Finance and Logistics to achieve programme objectives.

Monitor the overall status of each assigned programme, including timelines, resources, production readiness, quality, delivery performance and outstanding actions.

Monitor the financial status of assigned programmes, including revenue, costs, budget performance, commercial exposure and key variances, in coordination with Finance and relevant stakeholders.

Track customer demand, purchase orders, forecasts, daily revenue, production plans and shipment commitments; maintain complete and accurate programme records.

Coordinate the implementation of Engineering Change Orders and Engineering Change Notices (ECO/ECN), including customer communication, approvals and documentation.

Identify programme risks, constraints and potential delays early; coordinate recovery actions and elevate critical matters to the appropriate stakeholders.

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Engineering, Project Management or a relevant field.

At least 3 years of experience in programme management, programme administration, customer programme coordination, project coordination or a comparable role.

Experience in the Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industry or a related electronics/manufacturing environment is required.

Demonstrated experience in leading programmes or workstreams and acting as a key interface between a company and its customers.

Working knowledge of manufacturing operations, production planning, shipment coordination, NPI and ECO/ECN processes.

Strong financial awareness, with the ability to monitor revenue, costs, budgets, programme variances and related commercial information.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with ERP/MRP systems, customer portals, databases and purchase order management is an advantage.

Able to work effectively in a fast-paced, international and multicultural business environment.
