Manager – Program & Manufacturing Operations (Contract Manufacturing)
About the role
Pentamaster Corporation Berhad is seeking an experienced Manager – Program & Manufacturing Operations (Contract Manufacturing) to lead and support a large-scale, high-volume electronics contract manufacturing program at our Batu Kawan, Penang facility.
As Manager – Program & Manufacturing Operations, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing contract manufacturing programmes and ensuring seamless operational execution. You will be responsible in ensuring successful program delivery, customer satisfaction, production readiness, capacity, quality, cost and operational performance. We welcome experienced professionals from either a Program/Project Management or Manufacturing/Operations Management background who are ready to take on a broader leadership role.
Key responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end program and manufacturing activities from NPI, ramp-up to high-volume production.
- Drive program delivery, production schedules, capacity, cost, quality and overall performance.
- Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams including Engineering, Project Management, Planning, Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement.
- Act as a key interface with customers, managing program reviews, delivery commitments, escalations and change requests.
- Establish manufacturing capacity including production lines, manpower, equipment, floor space and shift requirements.
- Monitor and improve manufacturing performance through OEE, yield, throughput, takt time, scrap/rework and on-time delivery.
- Ensure material readiness and effective coordination with Planning and Procurement to prevent production interruptions.
- Lead root-cause analysis, 8D/CAPA and continuous improvement activities for quality and operational issues.
- Monitor program and manufacturing risks and ensure timely resolution of critical issues.
- Prepare management-level reports and KPI updates on program, production, quality and delivery performance.
- Lead, coach and develop teams to achieve business and operational objectives.
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics, Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in program/project management, manufacturing operations, electronics manufacturing, EMS, power electronics, automation or contract manufacturing.
- Candidates with strong experience in either Program Management OR Manufacturing/Operations Management are encouraged to apply.
- Proven experience in NPI, production ramp-up and/or high-volume manufacturing.
- Strong knowledge of production/capacity planning, project execution, quality management and continuous improvement.
- Experience in customer management and cross-functional leadership will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, 8D/CAPA, SPC, FMEA, Lean or Six Sigma is preferred.
- Experience with power electronics, UPS, inverters, PCBA or similar electronics products will be an added advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
