Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION YANGTZE RIVER (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a senior project/construction manager to lead site activities in Malaysia, coordinating workers and subcontractors, managing materials, and ensuring contractual compliance.

The role includes travel to India for a 1–2 month assignment with allowances, followed by return to Malaysia projects. You should have a bachelor's in a related field, 6+ years of experience, and be proficient in Mandarin and English, with strong IT skills including

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a civil/construction-related field.
• Minimum of 6 years of project/construction management experience in highrise or factory buildings.
• Proficient in Mandarin and English for client communication.
• Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Project, PowerPoint and AutoCAD.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors.
• Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory.
• Meet contractual conditions of performance.
• Review the work progress on daily basis.
• Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
• Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Negotiate terms of agreements, draft contracts and obtain permits and licences.
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.

Job description

We are looking for employees who can join immediately and available for a business trip to India lasting one to two months; additional allowances will be provided for the assignment.After the business trip, you can return to the project in Malaysia (Johor Bahru, Kulim, or Kuala Lumpur).

Key responsibilities

Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors

About you

Fluent in both Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, Construction Management, Architecture or equivalent related field

Minimum of 6 years of working experience in project/construction management with exposure in building of highrise / factory

Computer literate with Microsoft Office, Project, Power Point and Auto CAD
