Job summary

Astinas Construction & Development Sdn Bhd is seeking a Project Engineer to assist the Project Manager in overseeing daily operations from pre-construction to completion. You will coordinate with consultants, contractors, and authorities to ensure timely project execution, while reviewing drawings and specifications for compliance and safety.

Responsibilities include site visits, issue resolution, milestone tracking, and assisting with reports and handover activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil/engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience in development or construction.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling, and site operations.
• Familiar with local authority requirements and building regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project tracking software.

Coordinate with consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal teams to ensure timely and smooth project execution

Review and monitor project drawings, design specifications, and construction details to ensure compliance with approved plans

Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality and safety standards are met

Identify and resolve technical and site-related issues promptly

Track and report on project milestones, progress updates, and potential risks

Assist in the preparation of project reports, documentation, and correspondences

Ensure all works comply with regulatory guidelines, permits, and approvals

Support the handover process and project close-out activities

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field

Minimum 2–4 years of relevant experience, preferably with a property developer or construction firm

Strong knowledge of construction methods, project scheduling, and site operations

Familiar with local authority requirements, building regulations, and submission processes

Excellent coordination, communication, and problem-solving skills

Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and project tracking software (e.g., Microsoft Project)

Able to work independently, with a strong sense of accountability and ownership

Possession of own transport and willingness to travel to site as required
