Job summary

CHINA CONSTRUCTION YANGTZE RIVER (M) SDN. BHD. is seeking a project planning engineer in Malaysia to develop detailed schedules and allocate resources effectively for the Penang Urban Suites Project.

You will monitor progress, identify deviations, assess risks, and prepare weekly and monthly reports to keep the project team aligned and informed. A bachelor's degree and 5+ years' relevant experience are expected, with proficiency in MS Project and Primavera P6.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a relevant field.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.

Responsibilities

• Schedule preparation based on project requirements to ensure timely completion.
• Monitor project progress and adjust plans to align with the schedule.
• Conduct risk assessment and issue warnings with response strategies.
• Prepare regular progress reports (weekly and monthly) for project stakeholders.

Job description

1. Schedule preparation: Based on the specific requirements and goals of the project, the project planning engineer needs to develop a detailed schedule to ensure that all tasks of the project can be completed on time. This involves the rational allocation of project resources, task decomposition, and timeline planning.

2. Progress management: During the project implementation process, the project planning engineer needs to closely monitor the progress of the project to ensure that it proceeds according to the predetermined plan. This includes regularly checking whether the actual progress of the project is consistent with the planned progress, analyzing factors that may cause schedule deviations, and taking timely measures to adjust to ensure that the project can be completed on schedule.

3. Risk assessment and warning: Project planning engineers also need to analyze potential risk factors in the project, issue warnings for risks that may affect project progress, and propose corresponding response strategies to reduce the impact of risks on project progress.

4. Report preparation: In order to ensure that the project manager and other project related personnel can timely understand the progress of the project, the project planning engineer also needs to provide regular progress reports, including weekly and monthly reports, to facilitate communication and coordination among team members.

Required Skills and Qualifications
