Job summary

See Song & Sons Sdn Bhd, a leading civil, marine, and dredging contractor in Malaysia, seeks a Civil Project Engineer to execute and coordinate on-site works, ensuring quality, safety, and schedule adherence.

You will assist the Project Manager, monitor progress, coordinate with consultants and subcontractors, prepare method statements, conduct inspections, and support procurement and project handovers.

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• 3–6 years of civil/marine/dredging construction experience.
• Knowledge of marine infrastructure (jetty, quay wall, breakwater) preferred.
• Familiar with drawings, method statements, and scheduling tools.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
• Willing to work on-site or at remote project locations.
• Experience with AutoCAD, MS Project or similar software is an advantage.

Position Overview

We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer with hands‑on experience in executing and coordinating civil, marine, and dredging works. The ideal candidate will assist in planning, supervising, and ensuring smooth project execution on‑site, while meeting quality, safety, and timeline standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in overseeing day‑to‑day site operations for civil and marine construction works.
• Monitor project progress, site activities, and ensure works are carried out according to design, specifications, and schedule.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Prepare method statements, work programs, and progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Liaise with procurement team for timely delivery of materials and equipment.
Support permit applications, documentation, and project handover processes.
• Attend site meetings and provide engineering solutions when required.

Requirements
