Job summary

See Song & Sons Sdn Bhd invites applications for a Civil Project Engineer to oversee civil, marine, and dredging works on-site in Jelutong, Penang. You will assist the Project Manager with day-to-day site operations, ensure compliance with designs and schedules, and coordinate with consultants, contractors, and procurement teams to keep projects on track.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree or diploma with 3–6 years of relevant experience and is proficient in construction

Qualifications

• Degree/Diploma in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum 3–6 years of experience in civil/marine/dredging construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of structural works, marine infrastructure (jetty, quay wall, breakwater) or dredging operations.
• Familiar with construction drawings, method statements, and project scheduling tools.
• Good communication, problem-solving, and coordination skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in overseeing day-to-day site operations for civil and marine construction works.
• Monitor project progress, site activities, and ensure works are carried out according to design, specifications, and schedule.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Prepare method statements, work programs, and progress reports.
• Conduct site inspections, quality checks, and ensure compliance with HSE standards.
• Liaise with procurement team for timely delivery of materials and equipment.
• Support permit applications, documentation, and project handover processes.
• Attend site meetings and provide engineering solutions when required.
