Job summary

Solarvest Holdings Berhad is seeking an experienced Site Engineer to conduct engineering site surveys for solar PV installations and to design electrical, structural and mechanical aspects of PV systems in Johor Bahru. You will plan material purchases via ERP, manage subcontractors, and coordinate with authorities on meter installation and interconnection.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in solar or electrical industry.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and ERP exposure.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and PVSYST beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering site surveys for solar PV installation.
• Design solar PV systems including electrical, structural, and mechanical aspects.
• Plan and manage material purchase and subcontract via ERP system.
• Liaise and manage sub-contractors for scope, schedules, and workmanship.
• Attend site meetings and ad hoc meetings.
• Coordinate with authorities on meter installation and grid interconnection.
• Setup remote monitoring and conduct test & commissioning.

• Conduct engineering site survey for solar PV system installation
• Design solar PV system including but not limited to electrical, structural and mechanical
• Plan and manage material purchase and subcontract via ERP system

• Work with internal and/or external parties such as consulting firms, local authorities licensing matters and documentation

• Setup remote monitoring system and conduct test & commissioning of the solar PV system.
• Weekly reporting and new project scheduling
• Implement best practices and safe work procedure for every project
• Organize a post mortem meeting for evaluation of project results, challenges faced and provide recommendations for future improvement
• About the Projects: Candidate will involve in C&I-scale solar PV developments for premium clients in the green energy sector, including a flagship portfolio aligned with O&G sustainability goals

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in Solar or Electrical industry
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project and other related Microsoft Office Product
• Proficient in ERP system will be an added advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD
• Knowledge and experience in Solar PV system and PVSYST will be an added advantage
• Willing to travel or relocate with own transport
