Job summary

Solarvest in Malaysia seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to lead site surveys, design and implementation of solar PV systems, coordinating with clients and subcontractors. You will plan material purchases, manage ERP, and ensure safety, quality and timely delivery across projects for premium clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's/PG Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 3 years in Solar or Electrical industry; fresh grads may apply.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.
• ERP system proficiency is an advantage.
• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge/experience in Solar PV systems and PVSYST is a plus.
• Willing to travel or relocate with own transport.
• Proactive, self-motivated, team player with high integrity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering site surveys for solar PV installations.
• Design solar PV systems including electrical, structural and mechanical aspects.
• Plan and manage material purchases and subcontracting via ERP.
• Liaise with sub-contractors on scope, schedules and quality.
• Attend site and ad hoc meetings.
• Coordinate with internal/external parties on licensing and documentation.
• Coordinate meter installation and grid interconnection with local authorities.
• Setup remote monitoring and conduct test/commissioning.
• Provide weekly reporting and project scheduling.
• Implement safe work procedures and post-mortem evaluations.

Job description

• Conduct engineering site survey for solar PV system installation


• Design solar PV system including but not limited to electrical, structural and mechanical


• Plan and manage material purchase and subcontract via ERP system


• Liaise and manage sub-contractors for their scope of works, schedules and monitoring workmanship qualities or subcontractors during installation


• Attend site meeting or any ad hoc meeting


• Work with internal and/or external parties such as consulting firms, local authorities licensing matters and documentation


• Liaise and coordinate with local authorities on meter installation and grid interconnection of solar PV system


• Setup remote monitoring system and conduct test & commissioning of the solar PV system.


• Weekly reporting and new project scheduling


• Implement best practices and safe work procedure for every project


• Organize a post mortem meeting for evaluation of project results, challenges faced and provide recommendations for future improvement


• About the Projects: Candidate will involve in C&I-scale solar PV developments for premium clients in the green energy sector, including a flagship portfolio aligned with O&G sustainability goals

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent


• At least 3 Year(s) of working experience in Solar or Electrical industry


• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply

• Proficient in ERP system will be an added advantage.
