Job summary

SUMMIT ENERGY RESOURCES is seeking a Project Engineer Solar in Shah Alam to oversee planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects. You will coordinate with cross-functional teams and support design and review activities on-site.

The role requires developing schedules, monitoring progress, and resolving technical issues, with travel to project sites as needed and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Renewable Energy projects (Residential, Commercial & Industrial or Large Scale Solar).
• Familiar with Solar PV systems; AutoCAD; PVsyst; TNB/SEDA/ST requirements is an advantage.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Able to travel to project sites as required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects to meet scope, schedule, and safety/quality standards.
• Develop project schedules, monitor progress, and resolve technical issues during implementation.
• Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, contractors, and suppliers; provide regular status reports to stakeholders.

Role Description

The Project Engineer Solar at SUMMIT ENERGY RESOURCES will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and in line with safety and quality standards. This full-time, on-site role based in Shah Alam involves coordinating with cross-functional teams, and supporting project design and review activities. The Project Engineer will assist in developing project schedules, monitoring progress, and resolving technical issues that arise during implementation. The role includes attending site meetings, liaising with clients, contractors, and suppliers, and providing regular status reports to project stakeholders. The Project Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and support compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and company policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience in Renewable Energy projects, especially **Residential, Commercial & Industrial (C&I), or Large Scale Solar (LSS)
• Familiar with Solar PV system, AutoCAD, PVsyst, TNB/SEDA/ST requirements is an advantage.
• Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently and willing to travel to project sites when required.
