This role involves supervising daily production activities and coordinating production processes including lamination, cutting, drilling, edge banding, machining, assembly, QC and packing. You will help production managers in manpower allocation, ensure production follows the approved production plan and schedule, and monitor output to achieve daily production targets.
Key responsibilities

- Coordinate production processes including lamination, cutting, drilling, edge banding, machining, assembly, QC and packing
- Monitor work-in-progress (WIP) and prevent unnecessary production delays
- Assign workers to appropriate machines, production lines and workstations following production manager's instruction
- Monitor attendance, punctuality, productivity and discipline
- Provide daily work instructions and ensure workers understand their responsibilities
- Train and guide new production workers
- Ensure products are manufactured according to drawings, specifications and quality requirements
About you
- Diploma, certificate or equivalent qualification; relevant manufacturing experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in production/manufacturing, preferably in furniture or wood-based manufacturing
- Experience supervising production workers
- Able to understand production schedules and basic technical drawings
- Familiar with furniture production machinery is an advantage
- Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to work under production deadlines and handle shop-floor issues independently
- Basic computer skills for production records and reporting
- Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia, Chinese, English is required; Chinese/Mandarin is an advantage for communication with Chinese technical personnel and management
- Minimum SPM/SKM or equivalent
