Job summary

Sinergia Talents is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor in Penang to lead and develop production teams, ensuring safety, quality and timely delivery on a high‑volume line. You will coordinate staffing, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced facility.

The role requires 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, plus knowledge of lean methods and strong communication in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding or high-volume manufacturing is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily shift attendance and ensure adequate manpower allocation to support production requirements.
  • Lead, coach, and supervise production personnel to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.
  • Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, effective communication, employee engagement, and continuous development.
  • Monitor production output and line performance on every shift and coordinate timely corrective actions with relevant departments.
  • Conduct routine shop floor patrols to ensure 5S, safety, housekeeping, and company policies are followed.
  • Balance manpower allocation across production lines to optimize efficiency and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, safety regulations, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Monitor daily shift attendance and ensure adequate manpower allocation to support production requirements.
  2. Lead, coach, and supervise production personnel to achieve safety, quality, productivity, and delivery objectives.
  3. Foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, effective communication, employee engagement, and continuous development.
  4. Monitor production output and line performance on every shift to ensure production targets are met and monitor incoming material quality and manufacturing quality issues, and coordinate timely corrective actions with relevant departments.
  5. Conduct routine shop floor patrols to ensure compliance with 5S, safety, housekeeping, and company policies and monitor employee discipline, attendance, and welfare, and address workplace issues promptly.
  6. Balance manpower allocation across production lines to optimize operational efficiency and support continuous improvement (Kaizen), productivity enhancement, waste reduction, and cost-saving initiatives.
  7. Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, quality standards, and manufacturing procedures and perform any other duties or projects assigned by the Production Manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in plastic injection molding or high-volume manufacturing will be an added advantage.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team management skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Able to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes, productivity, quality systems, and workplace safety.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Continuous Improvement methodologies is an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ERP/MES systems is an added advantage.
  • Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Demonstrates good attendance, integrity, discipline, and a positive working attitude.
