Job summary

YB Woodwork Industry (M) Sdn Bhd in Simpang Renggam, Johor, is seeking a Production Supervisor to coordinate daily production activities, plan manpower and ensure targets are met on time.

You will supervise workers, enforce SOPs and safety, read production drawings, monitor quality, and work with Planning, Warehouse and Maintenance to reduce wastage.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in manufacturing or industrial engineering.
• 2–3 years in a production/manufacturing environment.
• Experience in woodworking or furniture manufacturing is advantageous.
• Strong leadership and manpower management.
• Able to read production drawings and instructions.
• Good knowledge of production processes, quality control and safety.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Monitor workers' attendance, discipline, performance and work assignments.
• Ensure employees follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), work instructions and safety requirements.
• Monitor the proper operation and use of machinery, equipment and production tools.
• Identify production problems, delays, material shortages and machine issues, and take appropriate action.
• Coordinate with Production Planning, Warehouse, Purchasing, QC and Maintenance departments.
• Monitor material usage and minimize production wastage and unnecessary costs.

About you

• Experience in woodworking, furniture manufacturing or industrial production is an advantage
• Good leadership and manpower management skills
• Able to read and understand production drawings and work instructions
• Good knowledge of production processes, quality control and workplace safety
• Good problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Able to work under pressure and meet production deadlines
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word
