Job summary

Premier Hytemp Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee machinists and general workers on the shop floor in Malaysia. The role focuses on meeting production schedules, coordinating raw materials, and maintaining daily processes to ensure on-time delivery and quality.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in a machine shop with CNC milling/turning, 3+ years of supervisory experience in heavy industries, and a Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering. Oil and Gas exposure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM holder with machining knowledge.
• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in machine shop; CNC milling/turning experience; Oil & Gas industry preferred.
• At least 3 years supervisory experience in heavy industry; Oil & Gas exposure preferred.

Responsibilities:

Supervise machinist & general worker to meet production schedules

Assist in production planning; control raw materials; final products assembly and daily process maintenance work

Work towards improving the process flow and quality yield

Provide good leadership with clear work direction to the production team and align the team to achieve business objective

Competency training & coaching of new machinist

Ensure quality products and OTD

Ensure quality and safety standards in the shop floor

Help with setting up new products

Monitor the shop floor machinist to maintenance of work equipment & machines to ensure good running order.

Co-ordinating hand-over between day and night shift where necessary.

Maintain good housekeeping in the entire manufacturing area.

Ensure team discipline on clocking and no skipped operation.

Any other task assigned by the immediate superior.

Ensure team discipline on dimension report, tool and part setup sheet, and no skipped process.

Qualification and requirements:

Minimum SPM holder with well verse knowledge in machining

Prefer Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

Minimum 10 years of working experience in machine shop - CNC milling and turning knowledge in Oil and Gas industry is preferred

At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a heavy duty industry, Oil and Gas industrial experience is preferred

Good interpersonal skills with positive attitude
