Job summary

Linktel Technologies Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks a Production/Manufacturing Supervisor to plan daily production, manage line manpower and materials, and monitor KPIs ensuring timely customer deliveries.

You will drive continuous improvement, coordinate with multiple departments, and ensure 5S/ESD and safety compliance. You should have a Diploma or higher in Electronics, Electromechanical or Mechanical Engineering with 1–3 years of production experience in electronics/manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in Electronics, Electromechanical, Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–3 years hands-on production experience in electronics manufacturing or related industry.
• Familiar with line management, 5S, yield, capacity, and efficiency concepts.
• Experience with MES/MRP/ERP systems is an advantage.
• Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Arrange daily production plans and monitor progress to meet customer deadlines.
• Manage production line manpower, materials, and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
• Monitor KPIs like output, yield, defect rates, material loss, and investigate abnormalities.
• Track hourly output, WIP, productivity, and labour-hour utilization to identify bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with line leaders to ensure manpower allocation, attendance, discipline, and quality.
• Coordinate with Materials, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering to resolve issues and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with 5S, ESD, safety standards, and company regulations.
• Utilize MES and reporting tools to monitor performance and maintain records.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives including capacity, yield, and cost control.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Job description

• Arrange daily production plans and monitor production progress to ensure customer orders are completed on time.
• Manage production line manpower, materials, and equipment to maintain smooth operations and achieve production targets.
• Monitor production output, yield, defect rates, material loss, labour productivity, and other key performance indicators (KPIs); investigate abnormalities and implement corrective actions promptly.
• Track hourly output, work-in-progress (WIP), production efficiency, and labour-hour utilization to identify bottlenecks and improve line performance.
• Manage operators and coordinate with line leaders to ensure manpower allocation, attendance, productivity, discipline, and work quality meet operational requirements.
• Coordinate with Materials, Warehouse, Quality, Engineering, and other relevant departments to resolve production issues and minimize downtime.
• Ensure compliance with production procedures, work instructions, 5S, ESD controls, safety standards, workplace cleanliness, and company regulations.
• Utilize MES and other production reporting tools to monitor production performance, maintain accurate records, and prepare regular reports.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including capacity improvement, manpower optimization, process optimization, yield improvement, and cost control.
• Perform other production-related duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or above in Electronics, Electromechanical, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of hands-on production experience in electronics manufacturing, optical components, optical transceivers, or a related industry.
• Familiar with production processes, line management, manpower allocation, 5S, and basic concepts of production yield, capacity, and efficiency.
• Basic understanding of production KPIs, hourly output tracking, labour-hour calculations, and production performance reporting.
• Experience using MES, MRP, ERP or other production monitoring systems is an advantage.
• Good leadership, communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of responsibility.
• Proficient in Chinese (listening, speaking, reading, and writing) to communicate effectively with the Wuhan headquarters. Knowledge of English and Malay is an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
