Job summary

LINKWING CLOUD TECH MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a senior Production Manager to lead the Production Department in Kulai, Malaysia. You will drive end-to-end manufacturing operations, ensuring quality, delivery, and cost targets.

You will organize cross-functional activities, implement 8S, and mentor teams, with fluency in Chinese and English. This on-site role requires hands-on leadership to scale production and establish robust management systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineering.
• 5+ years of production management experience in electronics manufacturing.
• Experience establishing production lines from scratch.
• Strong knowledge of server system integration and assembly.
• Fluent in Chinese and English for local and customer communications.

Responsibilities

Job description

Job Responsibilities

1. Take full responsibility for the overall operations of the Production Department under the direction of the Production Director.

2. Organize and coordinate departmental activities and cross-functional collaboration. Ensure effective communication and implementation of company policies and regulations. Develop, implement, and continuously improve departmental policies, procedures, and management systems.

3. Promptly address quality abnormalities and production efficiency issues, implement corrective actions, and establish preventive measures to minimize recurrence.

4. Establish production efficiency and quality targets, as well as departmental training plans and training programs, to improve overall operational performance and employee capabilities.

5. Conduct regular production meetings and coordinate pre-production preparations and post-production reviews. Allocate tasks appropriately based on requests from supporting departments and management directives, and monitor execution to ensure timely completion.

6. Implement and maintain the 8S management system to establish a safe, clean, organized, and efficient working environment. Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with 8S standards.

7. Analyze production capacity and workload, communicate new production schedules to relevant production sections, and monitor production progress against the master production schedule and shipment plans to ensure on-time delivery.

8. Monitor the completion of production targets and review overtime hours for each production team based on daily output and operational requirements.

9. Drive production cost reduction and minimize material waste. Oversee work-in-progress (WIP) inventory checks and ensure timely follow-up on inventory discrepancies.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

2. Minimum 5 years of production management experience in server manufacturing or other electronics manufacturing industries. Experience in establishing production lines from scratch for a new factory is highly preferred.

3. Strong knowledge of end-to-end server system integration and assembly processes. Familiar with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, with extensive experience in managing large-scale mass production operations.

4. Familiar with Malaysian employment regulations and occupational safety and health (OSH) standards. Fluent in written and spoken Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate effectively with local teams and customers.

5. Excellent overall production management, problem-solving, and cross-functional coordination skills, with strong leadership and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Additional Remarks

This is a key management position requiring on-site factory management, leadership in production ramp-up, and end-to-end establishment of production management systems and processes. The successful candidate must be prepared to work on-site and take full responsibility for building and optimizing production operations.
