Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable Shift Supervisor to lead production technicians and operators, ensuring output meets plan and quality standards. You will coordinate manpower, monitor processes and safety, perform routine inspections, and drive continuous improvement while maintaining effective shift handovers.
Responsibilities include supervising shift personnel, ensuring SOP compliance, monitoring line performance, and coordinating troubleshooting.

1. Lead and supervise production technicians and operators during the assigned shift.
2. Ensure production activities are carried out according to the production plan, SOPs, work instructions, and quality requirements.
3. Monitor production output and ensure shift targets are achieved according to plan.
4. Allocate manpower effectively and coordinate work assignments based on production requirements.
5. Monitor critical process parameters and ensure operating conditions remain within approved limits.
6. Monitor product quality, defect / reject trends, and take or coordinate corrective action when abnormalities occur.
7. Ensure production machinery, HMI systems, conveyors, utilities, and related equipment operate safely and reliably.
8. Support first-line troubleshooting, coordinate breakdown recovery, and elevate major equipment or process issues promptly.
9. Verify completion of production checks, process inspections, maintenance checks, and production records.
10. Conduct shift briefings, communicate priorities, and ensure an effective shift handover.
11. Ensure compliance with safety, housekeeping, 5S, environmental, and company requirements.
12. Coach and guide operators and technicians to improve competency, discipline, productivity, and work quality.
Technical & General Skills Requirements
Strong leadership, supervisory, manpower coordination, and team development skills.
Good understanding of manufacturing processes, process control, and product quality requirements.
Competent in HMI-based systems, process monitoring, and production reporting.
Good troubleshooting, problem-solving, decision-making, and Root Cause Analysis capability.
Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting knowledge.
Ability to analyze production output, defect trends, downtime, and process abnormalities.
Effective communication, reporting, coaching, and cross-functional coordination skills.
Strong safety, 5S, discipline, continuous improvement, and shift-work commitment.
Professional / Technical Qualification(s)
Diploma, Certificate, SKM, or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, Industrial Technology, Ceramic Technology, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing or production operations, preferably in ceramic tile or continuous / automated production environments.
Experience leading operators and technicians during shift operations.
Good understanding of production processes, product quality requirements, and process control.
Competent in HMI-based production systems, process monitoring, troubleshooting, and production reporting.
Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, with good safety and 5S awareness.
