Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Production Supervisor to plan and coordinate production activities across 3 shifts, guiding a team of supervisors to meet objectives. The role involves implementing process changes, liaising with engineering, and maintaining cost controls on material usage.

Strong leadership and data analysis skills are essential. Candidates should have a degree or equivalent and 2–5 years’ relevant experience, preferably with testing process exposure.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in a relevant field, preferably with exposure to testing processes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate production activities with all 3 shift production supervisors to achieve production objectives.
• Supervise, train and lead a team of production supervisors.
• Communicate changes in process, procedure and policy to subordinates to ensure compliance.
• Liaise with support group on production and engineering matters.
• Control and monitor proper usage of both direct and indirect materials to ensure cost control.
• Work with customers and production control on production schedules.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and inculcate safety awareness and teamwork on the production floor.
• Quality accountability: enforce compliance to SOPs and specifications, verify abnormalities/defects, and communicate quality alerts.

• Enforce compliance to standard operating procedures and specifications.
• Verify and recapture abnormalities / defects.
• Address or escape subordinate feedback.
• Execute, monitor, track and follow up changes / quality performance.
• Communicate quality alert to operators / technician / quality assurance and pass information to other shifts.

• Proficiency in computer applications (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) and data analysis.
• Solid understanding of 5S principles and ability to implement them effectively.
• Expertise in problem-solving tools such as 4M and Why-Why Analysis.
• A systematic thinker with the ability to solve daily operational challenges efficiently.
