Job summary

HICOM-Teck See is seeking a Production Planner to forecast material needs and convert forecasts into purchase requisitions. You will coordinate with approved vendors to ensure timely deliveries and maintain stock levels for production lines.

Role requires 1 year of planning/manufacturing experience, strong Excel skills, and the ability to monitor schedules while keeping accurate consumption reports. Office in Malaysia; manufacturing environment set-up.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in supply chain, manufacturing, logistics, business or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in production planning or manufacturing.
• Basic knowledge of production planning and inventory control.
• Strong planning, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and report preparation.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Able to monitor production schedules and material availability.
• Organised, responsible and detail-oriented.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Generate forecasts and process purchase requisitions for raw materials from approved vendors.
• Email monthly forecasts to all vendors.
• Manage and control stock levels for respective models.
• Use lead-time information to ensure timely material receipt for production needs.
• Monitor vendor performance and maintain strong supplier relationships.
• Prepare consumption reports.
