Rubberflex Sdn Bhd is seeking a Production Planner to optimize schedules for natural rubber latex thread, aligning forecasts with a multi-line manufacturing environment. The role focuses on efficiency, material availability, and on-time delivery to international markets.
Candidate... (description continues in the second paragraph with emphasis on cross-functional coordination, capacity planning, and detailed reporting)
We are seeking a highly analytical and process-driven Production Planner to optimize our manufacturing schedules for natural rubber latex thread. In this role, you will serve as the critical link between global sales demand and our factory floor. You will be responsible for analyzing sales forecasts and translating them into an optimal compound and product mix across multiple extrusion lines, ensuring maximum operational efficiency, minimal downtime, and on-time delivery to our international markets.
Schedule Optimization: Plan and schedule the optimal compound and product mix across multiple production lines daily, weekly, and monthly, balancing machine capabilities with global sales forecasts.
Forecast Analysis: Analyze incoming sales forecasts, historical data, and inventory levels (including imported chemical stocks and latex) to develop accurate production plans.
Line Efficiency: Minimize changeover times and material waste by strategically sequencing production runs based on product specifications, specific gravity/PH adjustments, and chemical compounding requirements.
Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate closely with plant management, the chemical laboratory, and international sales offices to ensure raw material availability (e.g., natural rubber latex, chemicals, etc) aligns with the production schedule.
Capacity Planning: Monitor actual production output against the plan. Identify bottlenecks in the extrusion or compounding processes and adjust schedules dynamically to accommodate machine maintenance or shifting demand.
Reporting: Maintain detailed logs of production metrics, material yield, and line utilization to continuously improve planning accuracy and operational flow.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related engineering discipline.
Experience: A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Production Planner in a continuous manufacturing or chemical processing company.
Technical Skills:
Deep understanding of manufacturing capabilities, mass balances, and capacity planning.
Strong analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to calculate optimal production mixes based on multi-variable constraints.
Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems and advanced spreadsheet analysis.
Attributes: Rigorous attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of making data-driven scheduling decisions in a high-volume industrial environment.
