Job summary

MYFutureJobs is recruiting for a Production Manager at our plastics manufacturing partner in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. You will lead daily production, plan schedules and drive improvements to meet output, quality and cost targets.

The role requires strong leadership and extensive manufacturing knowledge, with a track record in multi-disciplinary teams. Mandarin communication with suppliers is advantageous and a competitive compensation package is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline.
• Minimum eight years of experience in manufacturing or production operations.
• Proven experience managing production operations and manufacturing teams.
• Experience in plastic products, HDPE, rotational moulding, pipe extrusion or related environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of production planning, process improvement, quality control and workplace safety.
• Strong leadership, manpower planning, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, ERP or production-management systems.
• Mandarin proficiency is required to communicate with Mandarin-speaking vendors or suppliers.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage and monitor daily production activities to achieve targets.
• Develop production schedules according to demand and capacity.
• Oversee rotational moulding, extrusion, compounding and fittings production.
• Manage factory operations including manpower, machinery, maintenance and process control.
• Monitor production output, product quality, waste, downtime and material usage.
• Identify and implement productivity improvements and cost controls.
• Lead and develop production supervisors, technicians and operators.
• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse and Logistics.
• Ensure SOPs, quality standards and workplace safety compliance.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimise downtime.
• Support stock-taking and ensure proper control of raw materials, work-in-progress and finished products.
• Prepare production reports covering output, efficiency, quality, waste, downtime and defect rectification.
• Manage the production budget and ensure expenses remain within approved limits.

URGENT HIRING: PRODUCTION MANAGER (PLASTIC MANUFACTURING)

MYFutureJobs is recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing company specialising in polythene and HDPE products.

Location: Nilai, Negeri Sembilan 71800

Salary: RM6,000–RM8,000

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, manage and monitor daily production activities to achieve output, quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Develop production schedules according to customer demand and available production capacity.
• Oversee rotational moulding, pipe extrusion, compounding, pulverising and fittings production processes.
• Manage factory operations involving manpower, machinery, maintenance and process-parameter control.
• Monitor production output, product quality, waste, downtime and material usage.
• Identify and implement improvements to increase productivity, reduce defects and control operating costs.
• Lead and develop production supervisors, technicians, operators and production workers.
• Coordinate with Planning, Procurement, Quality Control, Maintenance, Warehouse and Logistics departments.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs, quality standards, workplace safety, PPE and 5S requirements.
• Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime.
