Job summary

MYFutureJobs is recruiting for an urgent Quality Control Manager for a plastic manufacturing operation based in Nilai, Negeri Sembilan. The role leads the QC department, develops procedures, and ensures compliance with customer specs and regulatory standards.

You will oversee inspections across materials, in-process, and finished products, drive CAPA actions, and monitor KPIs to reduce waste and rejects. Strong leadership and QA expertise are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Polymer/Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• Minimum five years of QA or QC experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience supervising or managing a Quality Control team.
• Experience in plastic, polyethylene, HDPE, rotational moulding, pipe manufacturing or related industry preferred.
• Good working knowledge of ISO 9001 and quality-control systems.
• Familiar with root-cause analysis, CAPA, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, SPC or related quality tools.
• Strong leadership, analytical, troubleshooting and decision-making skills.
• Able to communicate effectively with customers, suppliers, auditors and regulatory bodies.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and quality reporting or documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Control Department and supervise the daily activities of the QC team.
• Develop and maintain quality-control procedures, inspection plans, testing methods, product specifications and acceptance criteria.
• Oversee incoming-material, in-process and finished-product inspections and testing.
• Ensure products comply with company specifications, customer requirements and applicable regulatory and certification standards.
• Monitor product quality across rotational moulding, pipe extrusion, compounding, pulverising and plastic fittings production processes.
• Review inspection and testing results and determine the appropriate action for non-conforming products.
• Investigate product defects, process deviations and customer complaints through structured root-cause analysis.
• Lead corrective and preventive actions and verify their effectiveness.
• Work closely with Production and Technical teams to strengthen process controls, reduce rejection and minimise waste.
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs, including rejection rates, rework, customer complaints and corrective-action closure.
• Maintain the Quality Management System and support ISO 9001 compliance, internal audits, external audits and management reviews.
• Ensure measuring and testing equipment is properly maintained and calibrated.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, auditors, certification bodies and regulatory authorities on quality matters.
• Participate in supplier evaluations, supplier audits, product trials and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Prepare quality reports, audit findings and recommendations for Management.

URGENT HIRING: QUALITY CONTROL (QC) MANAGER – PLASTIC MANUFACTURING

Salary: RM6,000 - RM8,000 (Attractive compensation and benefits package, based on qualifications and experience)
