Job summary

SDP Packaging Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on supervisor to lead line operations and drive daily and hourly production targets at our facility. You will monitor flow, resolve bottlenecks and assign operators by competency to optimize throughput.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving and knowledge of 5S, RCA and continuous improvement. Willingness to work shifts and contribute to cost reduction is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Manufacturing, Engineering or related field.
• Experience in supervising production lines.
• Hands-on experience in operating or supervising production lines.

Responsibilities

• Lead line operations to achieve daily and hourly production targets.
• Monitor production flow and resolve bottlenecks or machine-related disruptions.
• Coordinate machine changeovers and minimize non-productive downtime.
• Allocate operators to workstations according to competency and production requirements.
• Monitor in-process quality and ensure non-conforming products are not passed to the next process.
• Investigate recurring quality and machine issues using RCA.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Lead Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
• Monitor raw material and consumable usage to reduce production costs.
• Conduct OJT and maintain the operator Skill Matrix.

About you

Good leadership and problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of 5S, Kaizen, RCA and basic quality control.

Able to lead and motivate production operators.

Willing to work on shifts when required.
