Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a capable Production Engineer to plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities according to project schedules. You will review engineering and fabrication drawings to ensure production requirements are clear and feasible on the shop floor.

You will collaborate with Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement, Store and Project teams to monitor progress, optimize material usage, identify issues, and implement practical solutions while upholding safety and quality

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
• Experience in production, fabrication, or engineering is preferred.
• Able to read and understand engineering/fabrication drawings.
• Proficient in AutoCAD or relevant CAD software.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor daily production activities according to project schedules.
• Review engineering and fabrication drawings and ensure production requirements are clearly understood.
• Coordinate with Engineering, QA/QC, Procurement, Store, and Project teams.
• Monitor production progress, manpower, material usage, and work completion.
• Identify production issues and implement practical solutions.
• Improve production processes, productivity, and work efficiency.
• Ensure fabrication and production activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and safety procedures.
• Coordinate with QA/QC to resolve quality issues and prevent recurring defects.
• Prepare production progress reports and provide updates to management.
• Support continuous improvement and cost-saving initiatives.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.
