Job summary

Peltech Filtration Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a motivated Production Engineer / Project Engineer to join our fabrication and manufacturing team. You will plan and schedule daily, weekly and monthly production activities and work closely with QA/QC to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Mechanical/Engineering Technology and have hands-on metal fabrication experience, with the ability to read and modify engineering drawings using AutoCAD, troubleshoot

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology (or related field).
• Experience in metal fabrication and ability to read/modify fabrications drawings using AutoCAD.
• Strong technical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Able to meet project deadlines and work proactively.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly production activities.
• Ensure production targets are achieved on time.
• Monitor production progress and address delays or bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics for material availability.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
• Collaborate with QA/QC to resolve quality issues.
• Monitor welding, cutting, bending, machining, and assembly quality.
• Supervise production operators, welders, machinists, and fabricators.
• Assign work according to production schedules.
• Monitor manpower efficiency and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and schedule daily, weekly, and monthly production activities
• Ensure production targets are achieved on time
• Monitor production progress and resolve delays or bottlenecks
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, and logistics departments to ensure material availability
• Ensure fabricated products meet customer specifications and quality standards
• Work closely with the Quality Assurance (QA/QC) team to resolve quality issues
• Monitor welding, cutting, bending, machining, and assembly quality
• Supervise production operators, welders, machinists, and fabricators
• Assign work according to production schedules

About you

• Degree in Mechanical / Engineering Technology, or related engineering field
• Experienced and good understanding in metal fabrication, able to read, interpret, modify, and produce engineering/fabrication drawing using AutoCad
• Strong technical, analytical and problem solving skills
• Responsible, proactive and able to work according to project deadlines
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications
• Ability to troubleshoot manufacturing issues related to fabrication, machining, welding, or assembly
