Job summary

CNC Metal Machining is seeking an experienced Production/Process Engineer to identify and develop SOPs, validate new machinery and tooling, and drive continuous improvement. You will plan production schedules, monitor costs and quality, and implement efficiency improvements across the shop floor.

The role requires strong communication, organization, and computer literacy, with ISO 9001:2015 knowledge considered an advantage. Apply to contribute to safer, more efficient manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

• Preferably Diploma or Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Excellent communication and strong organizational skills.
• Must be computer literate.
• ISO 9001:2015 knowledge will be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Identify, analyse and develop SOPs to standardize methods and tools for consistent performance.
• Plan and validate new machines, equipment, jigs/fixtures, molds and production set-ups.
• Develop cost reduction strategies to optimize operational efficiency.
• Diagnose production line issues and provide recommendations and training.
• Create production schedules and budgets for projects.
• Ensure product and process quality meet specifications.
• Improve manufacturing efficiency through workflow and layout planning.
• Write reports and present progress to clients and during meetings.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems.
• Establish or review OSH procedures to ensure compliance with safety guidelines.
• Implement 5S and Kaizen activities continuously.

1. Identify, analyse, evaluate, validate and develop SOP to the standardization working method and tool to achieve consistent performance and improve productivity

2. Plan, organize, coordinate and validate new machine, equipment, jig and fixture, stamping mold, bending die set-up, commissioning and qualification to production.

3. Develop cost reduction strategies and implement cost reduction programs to optimize operational efficiency

4. Diagnosing problems in the production line and providing recommendations and training.

5. Drawing up production schedules and budgets for projects.

6. Ensure product and process quality meets specifications required

7. Improve manufacturing efficiency by analysing and planning work flow, space requirements and equipment layout

8. Write reports and present progress at project meetings and to clients

9. Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems

10. Establish or review safety work procedures in order to ensure all works performed are compliance with occupational health and safety (OSH) guidelines.

11. Implement 5S and Kaizen activities continuously

Requirement
